How do I set up an insurance claim?
To begin the claims process, you will need to contact your insurance company and report the accident. Tell them you choose to have your collision repairs done at Midway Paint & Body. Contact us directly and our customer service representatives will guide you through the process.
How does the payment process work if a third party is paying for my collision repairs?
If you would like to have a private party pay for the damages to your vehicle we will accept cash, credit/debit, or a certified check from a local bank.
If I receive a check from the insurance company, do I keep it, or give it to you?
If they have issued you a payment, that and any deductible owed will be paid to the shop upon completion of collision repairs. If there are any additional charges owed to complete repairs to your vehicle, we will handle it directly with your insurance carrier. In the end, you can provide payment to Midway Paint & Body upon completion of repairs.
Do I need an appointment for an estimate? How long will it take? Is there a cost?
Our estimates are free, and you may drop in for an estimate anytime during our hours of operation. It is not necessary to schedule an appointment for an estimate. Most estimates take approximately 10 minutes to complete, depending upon the extent of the damage. You can also request an estimate under the “Contact Us” tab on the home page.
When do I pay my deductible, if applicable?
If you are required to pay your deductible, it is to be paid after the repair is completed, when you pick up your vehicle.
Can other repairs or services be done on my vehicle while it is in the shop?
Yes, just be sure to notify your estimator of the repairs or services that you would like performed, so that he or she can make the necessary arrangements.
How long will the repairs to my vehicle take?
Quality repairs begin with a detailed written estimate. Our trained estimators make a practice of anticipating problems before they arise. However, damage is often hidden and cannot be discovered until your vehicle has been disassembled. If this happens, your vehicle’s completion date may need to be revised. We will keep you informed throughout the repair process, and we assure you we will return your vehicle to you as quickly as possible.
Is there a warranty on the custom paint services?
Yes. We want you to feel confident that your vehicle is being repaired correctly. Midway Paint & Body offers a 4 year warranty on all custom paint services and the full manufacturer’s warranty on all parts.
Will you use aftermarket parts or OEM parts to repair my vehicle?
The decision on which parts to use to repair your vehicle typically starts with your insurance carrier. The parts we use for the auto body repair also depend on our Quality Process. If the part your insurance carrier asks us to use does not meet our quality standard, we will indicate what we do not like and have the insurance carrier pay us to use the correct part to repair your vehicle.
Will you inform me of the repairs being done on my vehicle before you start them?
We will not start on the repairs to your vehicle until we have yours and your insurance carrier’s authorization.
Can you match the factory paint color?
We guarantee that the factory color will be matched, as long as all painting is completed in accordance with factory suggested paint procedures. We use the finest automotive paints and processes available.
Can I wash my car right after?
You may wash the vehicle by hand with cool water and a very mild car wash solution using a soft cloth or sponge. Do not use a commercial car wash for the first 30 days because stiff brushes or sponges could mar the finish and damage the surface. Do not wax or polish the vehicle for 90 days.
